When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.
— Ansel Adams

To capture a portrait of your child, of your family...of you, is a privilege for me. To do this, I believe, there is required a stillness...and a connection with who you are...not with what you look like. This connection happens in moments. It is fleeting. But a fleeting moment is long enough...

It is my hope that what I do will transform the movement of your emotions and family connections into something that is remembered...in your memory and in your home for a very long time.

The Session

I provide child, family, pet and individual portrait sessions in and around the parks of Windsor, at your home or in a location special to you.

Each portrait session is bespoke and can be customised according to your goals. However, most full portrait sessions last between 1-2 hours. Because I prefer to work with natural light, outdoor shoots are scheduled early and late in the day when the light is at it's softest and most flattering. Of course, if your children are young, we will always prioritise and accommodate their schedule to capture them at their best. Due to the capriciousness of the British weather, we will usually book two dates for any outdoor sessions.

Before the session, in a phone consultation, we will plan and style your shoot. 2-3 weeks after our session we will meet for your viewing. The number of portraits produced varies depending on your session's objective. Most full family sessions produce 20-40 meticulously hand-finished high-resolution images.

To inquire about availability, please use the contact form. Only a select number of commissions are accepted each year. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

A non-refundable sitting fee is taken at time of booking to reserve your session date. Obviously this will be transferred if the session is postponed due to inclement weather or child illness. A full family portrait session is £175 on weekdays and £225 on weekends. Shorter or longer sessions are priced accordingly.

The sitting fee covers the time and talent of the photographer during the session. All frames, canvases, albums, prints and digital negatives are priced separately and available for purchase during the viewing. Most clients spend between £1500-£4000. Mini-sessions with targeted portrait capture are available for those looking to update to an existing collection of portraits, or for those working to a budget. Please contact Denise for more detailed information.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
