Workshops, Retreats, Meditation Evenings

Designed to compliment the ongoing asana classes, these small group events help you to add depth and texture to your knowledge, develop your practice, or provide indulgence and the chance to explore other aspects of yoga. (There is so much more beyond the physical practice!)  

Many workshops and/or retreats are created by student request, according to the seasons or as inspiration strikes. Please contact Denise for the current schedule or add yourself to the mailing list here.

Many workshops focus on technique, postural alignment, a specific category of postures, or a particular part of the overall practice.  Some workshops include a booklet or handout. Some focus on the practice. Previous workshop topics are listed below. These can be offered again based on request.

Retreat Days



Meditation Evenings with Chat & Chai

For students who are interested in learning more about the philosophy of yoga and how to take their practice off the mat, into their daily lives. This monthly (-ish!) event is theme based. It begins with an hour of teaching/discussion on the theme with a guided relaxation/meditation. The teaching is pulled from yogic philosophy as well as other more modern texts. Following our practice, there will be an open house with time for tea, questions and conversation on any topic.
